A neat Idea For A D&D Character
Open your Imagination and Picture this. A Halfling (Kender, Hobbit) who is a typical mischievious problem creating troublemaker. A light fingered light hearted individual who always manages to get out of trouble well leaving others stuck in it. Nothing new hear However at some point prior to the Campaign the Halfling angered and I mean greatly angered a high level mage.
Said Mage (Wizard, sorcerer of at least 10th level or better) decided that the reason the Halfling was such a problem resided in the fact he was too small to keep track of. After more then one Enconter with my charactor he decided that he knew the fix. He cast Enlarge Person(throwing the Threaded Iron over the Halflings head as he ran) and then made it last by casting Permanancy on the Halfling.
instead of being 3 and a half feet tall and weighing 35 lbs he's now a 7' Tall top-notted halfling who weighs a whooping 280 lbs.
needless to say this makes him clumsier but also Stronger. and Much easier for the Mage to Avoid. Needless to Say the Halfling Is Angry and Looking to fix his new found Size Problem
now into the rules of it (not much munchkinism that I can See)
A normal Halfling get's +2 dex and -2 strangth
Enlarge person gives him +2 strangth and -2 dex so he get's no stat changes just like a human.
he's a medium creature
He gets a -1 on attack rolls and AC from the Enlarge person which is offset by the Halfling's Samll creature +1 to the same stats so this Is also Anuled.
I would Assume the +4 size bonus to Hide would Also Go Away.
Base Land Speed Stays at 20 feet
I assume the rest of this would stick as normal. no reason size would change it.
* +2 racial bonus on Climb, Jump, and Move Silently checks.
* +1 racial bonus on all saving throws.
* +2 morale bonus on saving throws against fear: This bonus stacks with the halfling’s +1 bonus on saving throws in general.
* +1 racial bonus on attack rolls with thrown weapons and slings.
* +2 racial bonus on Listen checks.
* Automatic Languages: Common and Halfling. Bonus Languages: Dwarven, Elven, Gnome, Goblin, and Orc.
* Favored Class: Rogue. A multiclass halfling’s rogue class does not count when determining whether she takes an experience point penalty for multiclassing.
Now From anyone out there who Has ever DM'ed a Game Tell me this would you Allow this Charactor in your Campaign. And If not Why? I think this would be a hell of a lot of Fun to play... and What better reason to Adventure then to as K-Os put it get "Back into the Man I used to be"
Peace out

Planning an SCA Device
so with an Afternoon of research behind me and an Image in my head that I would love to see plastered on my back as a patch, or bLazoned on a cloak or a tabard
anyway in heroldic terms it is described thus
"per saltire sable and argent a magpie proper rising"
This is my experament in ms Paint to show the idea it's not great But I think it conveys
this is actualy Per saltire argent and sable. I'm not sure if it would work better this way or the other.
All Hail the infamous pirates of Antir .

The E.M.B.A
The Edmonton Mountain bike Alliance had a great productive meeting today and here is my attempt at a logo.
This was done in Paint, well at work so the quality is not great, but hay it's not bad for a start.
The EMBA has lots of promise, I will let you know more when I get more info and when I have more time.
till then put you feet on the peddles and ride

designer gourmet catch-up (extra spicy dijon)
sometimes i think my mind follows the rhythm of popcorn. so Here I am back on the scene, blowin' up a whole new dream.
Listen to tracks by the following if you can
Chumbawamba -off there new album "a singsong and a scrap" nice sort of folky politicle.
"Yell Fire by Michael Franti amazing stuff.
the incredible Robert randolph and the family band "colorblind" is the name of the album.
medeski martin scofield and wood, have a new album out called "out louder" great Jazz with electronic
I listen to it paired with down to the bone "spread love like wildfire"
these are all great Albums and an example of what I have on my Z5(new MP3 player).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I promised poetry and though it's farther then 1 a week apart by a long shot this is a good poem. I have some "broken TV" pictures to go with it I'll upload those and others when I get a chance. for now here's the poem.
written dec 30 06 this is
Freedom's Hi-way
We're going east of 97, south from one eighteen
gonna ride down freedoms hi-way see what can be seen.
north of jasper avenue and west from the river green
Right beside the transit line look at the graphiti scene
ride my bike down the road to freedom just past 2 am
he asks me for a light doesn't have a penny to spend
He's trying to smoke a birthday candle
hoping it'll be more in the end
When I point out the illusion he tosses it away
in disgust, reaches in
to his ashtray of a pocket
pulls out a hand full of butts
I light him up the longest cigerete end he can find
he thanks me for helping him die a little
it's the only way he knows how to survive
We're going east of 97, south from one eighteen
gonna ride down freedoms hi-way lookin at a different scene.
He offered to sell me a TV that was shattered on the street
a joke across from the cop shop
a cracked image on the screen
maybe someone got sick of watching
that consumer driven machine
an' the nightly disaster you see on the 6 o clock news
divided up so nicely with adds for things they can't use
east of 97, south of one eighteen
down on freedoms hi-way in the centre of the capitals boom town scene.
There's a business women on the corner
Who's lover does not know her name
She can't talk about her Job
Communication is illegal when your getting paid
She's walking the street from 9 to 5
But does she have a bed in her own Home
and does she have someone to cuddle at night
or is the irony she sleeps alone
Now I'm not livin' on Freedoms hi-way
my home is on the other End
But I go down it every other day
to reach the destinations I can.
I see what's happening on it
there free to live there if they can only fend
Off the disasters the pain and the strife
That's a part of Daily life
east of 97, south from one eighteen
north of jasper avenue and west from the river green
I'm not saying it only happens there
You know it's everywhere
But down on freedoms hi-way
there's no curtains to prevent you from seeing
Those who's lives you do not share
There on the road to freedom
They might survive to get there.
